"Looks can be deceiving, but don’t pass by the somewhat hidden entrance to The Colorado Bar. This dive bar located right in the middle of — you guessed it — Colorado Boulevard is a crowd favorite. However, The Colorado Bar is rarely crowded."

"Winner by a long shot for the most awesome, multi-generationally-appealing playground equipment in the land goes to La Laguna Playground at Vincent Lugo Park. Slides that look like dragons, things to climb on that look like sea serpents, an open-mawed whale perfect for hide-and-seek—and all brightly colored like a children's book come to life. The creatures were sculpted in the ’60s by local artist Benjamin Dominguez; the playground is in the state’s register of historic places."

"Vina Vieja Park is my dogs’ favorite park because this is where they run off the leash with other dogs. What’s nice about Vina Vieja Park is that there is a side with a playground for human children and there is a side for the furbabies. Lots of space for them to run around and play."
