21 Fun, Free Things to Do in Orlando (Because Disney Gets Expensive)
"Of all the Orlando breweries, Ten10 Brewing Co. definitely has one of the best reputations. It has been around for a while now and is known for its diverse selection of brews. The taproom is a cozy spot in the Mills 50 District where you can drink, eat and often enjoy live music."
"This local brewery has a relaxed, modern vibe you’re guaranteed to enjoy. They offer housemade craft beer, bar snacks, and sandwiches. It’s the perfect place for beer and food lovers."
"At BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse, we've been serving up a one-of-a-kind Brewhouse experience for over forty years. We pride ourselves in our craft and attention to detail"

"Given its close proximity to Orlando International Airport, Ellipsis Brewing is a great first stop if you're visiting Orlando specifically to sample our craft beer scene — or just want to grab a pint on the way to your hotel. It's run by a trio with a quarter-century of combined brewing experience who started with a 5-gallon homebrew kit, which evolved into their current 10-barrel brewhouse with five 10-barrel fermentation tanks and a 110-barrel bright tank. Encompassing 7,500 square feet, Ellipsis' taproom features high ceilings, and the brewhouse is visible through a double glass door in the back."
"Ellipsis brewing is one of the breweries in Orlando located near the Orlando International Airport. Located in a large warehouse building at 7,500 square feet with bright blue walls, and table games it is a fun brewery atmosphere. With 15 beers on tap, ranging from 4.5 to 13.2% ABV there is a ton to try."
"Over on the other side of town by the airport is Ellipsis Brewing, another Orlando brewery you have to visit. This spot is a simple warehouse style with some games, but the beer is definitely not simple. They make some of the best Imperial and New England IPA’s you can find in the area."
"Like many great ideas, Dead Lizard Brewing Company had its humble beginnings in a garage. Richard, a third-generation brewer, having first brewed with his father and brother (Dell and Scott) over 27 years ago, had been sharing his brews with co-workers, friends, and family for years. His passion for brewing and their demand for his beers fueled the transformation of nearly every inch of his garage into an elaborate home brewing facility with multiple fermenters that were nearly always full with some new recipe."
"Though this brewery in Orlando is slightly tucked away, it’s absolutely considered one of the top 15 breweries in Orlando by both locals and visitors!. As you’d expect, a lot of the theming in this brewery is lizard related, with many of the craft beers being themed around the reptiles!. So, if you’re looking for a fun and themed night out, Dead Lizard Brewing Company is a great place to hunker down."
"Dead Lizard Brewing Company is powered by three generations of family know-how. Using fresh hops from the family-owned Artesian Hops farm, they brew bold beers infused with a distinct bouquet of subtle flavors. Influenced by its industrial surroundings, Dead Lizard's large, open, no-frills taproom provides a view of their 10-barrel brewing system."
"Last on my list of breweries in Orlando, it’s the Bear and Peacock Brewery. If you happen to be in the Winter Park area, be sure to check out The Bear and Peacock Brewery. Not only is this seen as one of Winter Park’s finest spots for grabbing a beer, but you can also sample a spirit or two at this location."
"The Bear and Peacock brewery is located in nearby Winter Park Florida. The taproom is located inside the Brewstillery facility that opened a distillery in 2010, and the tap room followed in 2016. You can sample both beers and spirits at this location!"
"So you want to go out drinking, but you're with a varied group. Some are all about the beer, others are hoping to catch some live music, and all of them are hungry. Sanford Brewing could be your love match tonight."
"Castle Church brews great craft beer for anyone who values connecting with others and living life well. +20 BBL craft brewhouse +Taproom +Indoor beer garden. Address:6820 Hoffner Ave, Orlando, FL 32822"
"Tempting photos of decadent cakes and handcrafted doughnuts may lure you through The Glass Knife’s doors, but the restaurant’s more savory side is equally delicious, especially during brunch. Served on Saturdays and Sundays from 8am-4pm, brunch proves that the restaurant packs more than just a sugar-filled punch. I wouldn’t frown upon visiting for a meal comprised entirely of indulgent cakes, small-batch buttermilk brioche doughnuts, pastries and other assorted baked goods."
"Serving breakfast and lunch in addition to desserts, The Glass Knife in Winter Park is headed by Executive Chef Stuart Whitfield. Hardcore Disney fans might recognize that name as belonging to the maestro who previously sweetened up menus at Victoria and Albert’s, Be Our Guest Restaurant and other Walt Disney World Resort favorites. Learn more: Winter Park"
"Your go-to destination for cakes, desserts, donuts, fun sweet treats and specialty coffee in Orlando. The Glass Knife has an eclectic menu of doughy goodness. We highly recommend their peanut butter and jelly donut."
"Heavenly coffee (try the Thai iced; sweet and superb!) and tea and ridiculous-good brick toast desserts make KrungThep well worth a visit, but it's pressed sandwiches, each available as a salad if you're forgoing bread, make for a fine lunch choice. Austere, modern surrounds make for a serene but decidedly hip experience. Try the Thaiger is Crying (marinated beef, carrot, red cabbage, cilantro, cheddar and spicy sauce) or the animal-free From the Forest (steamed tofu, grilled mushroom and onion, lettuce, sesame soy mayo) and if you bring a share partner, don't let the opportunity pass to sample from the dessert menu."
"With the influx of new restaurants opening in Orlando, sometimes we forget about some that we were so excited about just a few short years ago. KrungThep is always a great option for a cool dessert, even later in the evening when so many dessert spots are closed. Yes, you can get sandwiches and tea here, but it’s a great dessert only joint if you just want enjoy a brick toast."
"Orlando is known for great Asian eats, and this sweet little Thai spot in Winter Park stands apart for its stylish vibe and rainbow range of iced and hot teas and desserts. KrungThep is the Thai name for Bangkok, but much of the menu skews..."

"Classic cars at Old Town (Pic: Michel Curi) In the evening we stumbled across a cute tourist area called Old Town back along the 192 highway in Kissimmee. This was a strange mix of illuminated fairground rides and a bungee swing alongside a Western-style highstreet with funky shops and an imitation ‘small town America’ feel. There was also a car show with classic 1950s and 60s cars on when we were there."
