"One Kidding Around Greenville reader is on a mission to see all the beautiful waterfalls within an hour of Greenville. She uses the AllTrails Hiking & Mountain Trails app to find them and suggested Issaqueena Falls near Walhalla, Dupont State Forest in Cedar Mountain, NC, Table Rock and Paris Mountain. Start chasing those waterfalls!"
"Easily one of the most impressive and popular parks in Greenville is the Falls Park on the Reedy. Located in Downtown Greenville, this beautiful 32-acre park has been around for more than 15 years. You can spend an entire day wandering around the walking trails admiring the seemingly endless nature and gorgeous waterfalls."
"Also part of the Heritage Green area downtown, the Children's Museum of the Upstate is an affordable, fun activity for families. Explore three floors of interactive exhibits ranging from playing with sound and instruments to discovering indigenous wildlife and natural resources to building miniature dams and learning about the area's water systems. The Children's Museum also has an outdoor recreation area, an on-site cafe, a play pond for toddlers, a rock climbing wall, and a nine-hole putt-putt course."
"With a giant indoor learning and play space with lots of unique fun exhibits, The Children’s Museum is naturally the go-to rainy day spot in Greenville. If you live in Greenville, you should consider a family membership which makes frequent trips to the museum affordable. The Children’s Museum of the Upstate also has programs available for children, most of which are free with admission."
"One of the best places in the United States for encouraging young minds is the Children’s Museum of the Upstate. If you’re looking for enriching activities with your kids, be sure to come here. The various exhibitions and topics explored make it perfect for broadening minds both young and old."
"Picking a trail is a real challenge as the options are endless, but we eventually settled on a day of hiking the Art Loeb Trail. Joining up with our guide from the Blue Ridge Hiking Company, we headed off on the Blue Ridge Parkway to hike the double summit of Black Balsam Knob and Tennent Mountain. This hike is an incredibly scenic 5 mile loop with established trails and views for days. Many locals adore and use the trails in this area on the weekends because it also makes for great camping."
"For an unforgettable sunset view, head to Black Balsam Knob trail in Pisgah National Forest. It’s only about a 1-1.5 hour drive from Asheville, then a 10-15 minute easy hike to the summit, which boasts amazing views into the surrounding ridges and valleys below. In the summer, you can set out a picnic blanket and enjoy the last few rays of golden light to end your trip in the most beautiful way."

"The best wood-fired BBQ in Hendersonville can be found in the village of Flat Rock, where Hubba Hubba Smokehouse owner Starr Teel favors the “low and slow” approach. Teel, whose wife Virginia owns The Wrinkled Egg gift shop on Flat Rock’s colorful “Rainbow Row,” is a classically trained chef who attended both French and American culinary schools. But his Hubba Hubba Smokehouse menu is deceptively simple, with a focus on homestyle dishes, hand-pulled meats, and made-from-scratch sauces and sides that mostly use locally-sourced produce."

"The Green River Adventures Waterfall Trek shows you the best of the Big Bradley Falls and Cove Creek Gorge. The hike starts with a 1 mile hike towards Big Bradley Falls before sending you rappelling a 30 foot vertical wall to access the base of the falls and the Cove Creek Gorge."
"Irashiai Sushi Pub & Japanese Restaurant, located at 115 Pelham Road, Suite 26, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the sushi bar and Japanese spot, which offers seafood and more, four stars out of 92 reviews."
"What we ate: A Clemson roll with crab, avocado, cream cheese + tempura flakes during sushi happy hour (11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.). Why we loved it: The sushi bar is the perfect place to escape during lunch, and there are tons of rolls for almost half price during sushi happy hour. We’re suckers for a crispy cooked roll, but there are raw + veggie roll options, too."
